exam AIMELI

Aimeli
Dreams were the only things which were inside Aimeli´s heart. Aimeli lived in a beautiful and small town. She was extremely happy; she simply lived, ate, slept, and spent time with her friends and some with meaningless relationships. She was an ordinary girl who dreamed of her charming prince; the gorgeous guy who loves her, care for her and with whom she wants to share her life cheerfully ever after. She always dreamed with her truth love and the perfect man. One day, Aimeli met Larry and they immediately fell in love, then got married and lived happily forever. That is the ideal finale in a love story. However, this story is not a fairy tale; this is real and gloomy Aimeli’s narration.
This story has its beginning one beautiful afternoon, when Aimeli saw Larry, a man who lived far away from Castello the place where Aimeli lived. They encountered by coincidence, she was walking on the park and he was working as an architect, building a fountain. He suddenly smiled at her and she, blushing, initiated a little conversation. They began to talk about themselves, about likes or dislikes, and in this way they fell in love. Everything was a perfect pinky fairy tale. They spent all their time together; they ate ice-cream, watched movies and looked at the moon and the starts all night long. Thus the days and months passed until he had to leave her, he went back to his city, which was many hours away from Castello. Although this was not a problem; since they really loved each other and with time their magic relationship became long. Each other separately continued with their life; Aimeli went to school, went out with friends while Larry worked, went to school but he never forgot her; he called her all the time and they shared their most intimate secrets kept in their soul.  Aimeli was sure that she had found her charming prince; she waited for him days, nights, months, the wait was getting longer, but she was sure he would return and they would see the moon as one, for the reason that they were two bodies in a heart. Nevertheless, this never happened and he left her forever. The love, flowers, smiles were a bunch of lies, he was not the charming prince; trust had been lost in Aimeli’s heart and thoughts. He showed her a stunning way to love but at the same time what really hurts a broken heart. Aimeli adored him, but she needed to hate him to make it easier to forget him. He lied to her; the hours that they spent talking were disappearing together with tears, loneliness and wrecked feelings. Larry was living two lives; he was engaged but at the same time, he was trying to rob Aimeli’s heart. That was when Aimeli understood why he never came again. All this time she had loved a fantasy, she believed in fairy tales and the stupid promises that he had made, he never really existed, and maybe her perfect man only lived in Aimeli’s thoughts. She trusted in his eyes, words, feelings, petting and kisses, but everything was just an evil game. Aimeli kept on with her life, but her smile was not the same, her eyes lost their shine and her scratched heart became a stone. Aimeli had a thousand questions and no answers, consequently she decided to forget everything that made her cry and remember blissful past, except each moment that she tried to do it, the nostalgia invaded her mind and all those memories that were deep inside of Aimeli mind come afloat. She wrote many letters and none had been answered, as a result she decided to find another way to suppress her affection while at the same time Larry was enjoying his vane falsity, thinking that Aimeli never realized the truth, without knowing that he was the only one who in fact believed in his lies. Nowadays, Larry still supposes that Aimeli is waiting for him in the same park, but she decided to never return to that park.
End.

2nd Draft... LOVE VS INFATUATION

LOVE VS INFATUATION

Love and Infatuation are both intense emotions that one feels for another person. But nowadays our society has been involved by saturation of the media in our idea of what relationships are. It is often difficult for us to distinguish between these two concepts. These feelings are most often confused for each by many people, but the two feelings differ in many things like symptoms, attributes and feelings.
The first difference is symptoms. According to The English poet John Donne,  the foremost symptom of being infatuated by a person want to be around that person, this sometimes could be sexual desire, it is an unreasoning passion or addictive love, and it usually occurs at the beginning of relationship. In other hand love can be described as a feeling of intense affection for a person, it is most often talked about as an emotion between two people.
According to Bob Lenz, love can happen without conscious intention; it does not expect anything returns, and it could start with a mix of feelings like physical attraction and intellectual and emotional compatibility, it is when you want to be with someone. However; infatuation comes with a feeling of passion, it may start with physical attraction and excited to be around a person. These attributes is another important difference between love and infatuation.

Feelings are the most important aspect to distinguish love and infatuation. People who feels infatuation is self-centered, insecure, jealous or possessive, and has the necessity to be with the person or believe that person is a possession and it is more common in teenagers, whereas love is based on as person is, secure, trust, it becomes a necessity to want to share everything, to be with person that you love and give her/him space.
Finally relationships are very important for our society, but we have to be careful with the feelings, because many times this could be infatuation. You should know that love is real feelings that involve honesty, and infatuation is only physical attraction. Also you should remember that love is like the wind you cannot see it, but you can feel it, whereas infatuation only you can see it.

IMPOSSIBLE DREAM

Impossible Dream
Women´s discrimination has been of the most popular problems in our society. From ancient times Mexican women have lived in a society where they have suffered discrimination, deprivation and the denial of their human rights based on their gender. In Mexico, women often suffer discrimination whether for the political, social and cultural status.
Traditionally women have relapsed in housework, and the brought up their kids, for this reason many people think that it is very important to have a women at home. According to INEGI in the National survey exists 19.4 millions of home where a women are the head of the house; however it could not make fairness in the allocations at home between women and men, because society continue think the men have to have the house control. Meanwhile in our days in Mexican households the women´s discrimination continues, although society says that equity exists nowadays.
Another aspect is jobs. Most of the times when jobs are offered in a factory the women have few opportunities to get an important position. Nowadays many women have gotten this opportunity; however their salaries in 30% lower than men. According to CNN Money in 2006 there were only 10 women running fortune 500 companies and only 20 in the top 1000. This happens because it is still believed that women do no have the necessary skill for lead companies even the country.
In Mexican society women´s discrimination has been decrease; but the problems continue every day, because the society still believes that the women´s role is at home. However according to Apún Salinas Paola María

3rd draft. My evolution in Electronic Literacy

My Evolution in Electronic Literacy
Nowadays the use of electronic tools such as computers, internet and cell phones, have become very important in my life. Electronic Literacy is helpful to many aspects for example knowledge, knowing new people, communication, working, school or simply to spending time. For this reason in my life the electronic tools have had huge impact. Do you want to know how, or why? I just can say that Electronic Literacy has been necessary for many aspects in my life.
The first use of electronic tools in my life was when I was 8 or 9 years old, I was in elementary school and I took a computer science class. It was very fun because it only was games, and I could learn how to use the word software and the elementary tools of internet. This course was very practical, because I learnt to search information and to write some documents; in addition I used it to write letters, messages for my friends or family. When I started to use the computer I did not know the importance that it would have in the next years on my life.
Nowadays electronic literacy has influenced on my education, especially on my major. Since I started studying ELT it was needed to manage different electronic resources. Most teachers ask us to use at least internet, for example in listening and speaking class we had to practice with audio, videos, movies, or search any information. During my major I have used different electronic tools such as online dictionary, practicing any skill, uploading exercises, using and creating blogs, all those elements were vital to improve my English. In this major helpful to use the electronic tools to make presentations or have communication with native speakers for this I use the messenger, facebook, hotmail or other social network which contributed to improve my English Language.
As a future teacher I would like to look for tools that improve the English. As teachers it is important to use more interesting and dynamic activities instead of keeping traditional classes. One or two months ago I watched a program about the use of new technologies, one of these technologies was the electronic board, and it was useful for student who interacted their knowledge and activities and it is easier to use because it is touchable; however other electronics tools are the activities through internet such as videos, movies, conversation clubs, etc., because I already know that surfing in internet we can find helpful WebPages, platforms, virtual libraries and online courses. Electronic Literacy will be useful to teach another language.
As a conclusion Electronic Literacy has become a vast effect in our days, because it has been important for improve our knowledge, in my case my English. The use of these tools has been useful to communicate with my family and friends and practicing any skills or simply to spent time. The use of this tools is important use it since you were a child; because, it has many benefits for school, life. You can learn anything about any topic or whatever you like to searching any information, know about something. You have to know that a literate person is not whom is able to write or read, if not whom know to use the electronic tools.
